Kevin McConnell
Kevin is a 2L at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Originally from Mentor, Ohio, Kevin attended Gilmour Academy, and graduated in 2006. A 2010 cum laude graduate from The Catholic University of America, Kevin earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish for International Service. He received the Helmut Hatzfield Award of Excellence, graduating as the top student in his major. He is fluent in Spanish, has spent extensive time studying abroad in Spain and Mexico, and has participated in several service trips to Honduras. At Catholic University, Kevin played on the soccer team, and interned at the American Bar Association Section of International Law. While in Washington, D.C., Kevin also worked for ElectionMall technologies, and worked on the campaign of current Colombian President, Juan Manuel Santos. He also did extensive work with the European People’s Party. During his first year at Cleveland-Marshall, Kevin earned a high A in torts, and has been on the Dean’s List in the fall, spring, and summer session. He serves as the secretary of the International Law Society. He is an Eagle Scout, and an avid outdoorsman. Kevin currently works in the law office of Jonathan A. Bartell, where he has been clerking since January 2011. This summer, Kevin will be a summer associate at McDonald Hopkins LLC.
